Purpose-Driven Work

When you work for Capital Area Transit, you’re driving change. We often take for granted the ability to travel to everyday locations – a place to buy milk, receive an immunization, or maintain employment. Without these connections, we cannot provide for our basic needs or dare to explore our future. Providing a ride shapes our neighbors and directly impacts their lives.

Caring for Our Communities

We created our own 501(c)(3) non-profit, 3P Ride, to deliver more people, to more places, for more possibilities. Focused on veterans transportation, access to food and access to medical care, we aid vulnerable families, older adults and persons with disabilities who would otherwise fall through the cracks of traditional transportation funding.

Going Green

Capital Area Transit realizes that good public service is responsible public service, and as a regional public transit system, we know that we must be environmentally conscious. Not only are green practices better for the environment, they’re better for operations, often leading to improvements in efficiency, supply costs and reduced waste.
