Long Term Detours

Please use the following detours when planning your next trip.  This section is used for long term detours & special events that may cause delays in service.

 


DETOUR EFFECTIVE APRIL 26-30—ROUTES 1 / 14 / 17 / 27 /CY

Due to construction at the intersection of Market & 17th Streets, from Monday, April 26, 2021 to Friday, April 30, 2021, CAT buses will need to detour throughout the Allison Hill neighborhood to avoid the area.

DETOUR EFFECTIVE MARCH 8—ROUTES 7 / 23X / 81X / 322 / A / B / C / D / M

Due to construction, starting Monday, March 8th the layover for the PHEAA bus stop will be along Basin Street, between 6th and 7th Streets until further notice. 


 

DETOUR EFFECTIVE

MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 2021,

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE:

 

All routes that travel on 3rd St. from Market to Chestnut will now turn left onto Market St. then turn right to go through the Train Station.  Continue through the Train Station onto Chestnut St. and turn right on 2nd St. to the Transfer Center.


West Shore Hospital Detour (Until Further Notice) – Route F

Due to construction at the West Shore Pinnacle Hospital, the section of the road that loops around the hospital will be closed.  The closure is effective Thursday April 4, 2019 and will last for up to 24 months.  Detour is as follows:

Rt. F – Enola – regular route to Technology Parkway, make left at 1st entrance to Hospital loop, go to 3rd entrance to your right and make a right into parking lot, turn left down 2nd parking lane and continue to stop in front of stairs, turn left to exit parking lot and then left onto main loop road back to Technology Parkway. Right onto Technology Parkway to regular route.

Street Closure – UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital (4-4 to Until Further Notice)


Bon-Ton/Borders Park & Ride Detour (Until Further Notice) – Route E

A demolition project will start at the Bon-Ton/Borders location either late this week or early next week. Construction fencing will be placed at the site and the Bon-Ton Park & Ride location will be inaccessible.

Lower Allen Township and CAT have identified an alternate location for the Bon-Ton Park & Ride until completion of the project.

Starting Thursday September 19, 2019, please use the last row of parking spaces behind the Texas Roadhouse (the row of spaces where the Bus icon is located on the map) as the alternate Bon-Ton Park & Ride location and the Bus icon as the official bus stop until further notice.
