CAPITAL AREA TRANSIT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES ADVISORY COMMITTEE LAUNCHES COMPREHENSIVE TWO-COUNTY RIDERSHIP SURVEY
(Harrisburg) – Capital Area Transit People With Disabilities Advisory Committee, in cooperation with the Center for Independent Living of Central PA and more than fifty (50) related social service, health care, municipal and government agencies in Central Pennsylvania, has launched a comprehensive on line survey of riders with disabilities on CAT fixed-route and shared ride services.
“The survey is comprehensive, easy to access on line, and will provide data to drive future transit planning for riders with a disability,” Robert Philbin, CAT director of Public Information and Customer Experience, said today.
Public transit plays a major role in the quality of life for a person with disability. “Mobility is fundamental to connectivity with one’s community and CAT is committed to providing the kind of transit service that helps people to live full, independent lives on their own terms,” Philbin said.
The survey, CAT People with Disabilities Advisory Committee Transit Service Survey, is available on line at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CapitolTransit, and can be accessed until September 30, 2016.
“The survey will be tabulated in the fall and a full committee report of findings and recommendations will be distributed publicly at the end of the year,” Philbin said. If you need assistance or cannot use a computer, please call 717-731-1900 for assistance with taking the survey.
